Silicone replacement for the original EGR hoses. The rubber that the original hoses are made of often dries out due to age, which makes the material brittle and can cause it to tear. This results in power loss and error messages in the motor management system. The advantage of silicone hoses is that they can handle larger pressures and are not subject to the same aging as the rubber alternatives. This means that, especially with tuned cars, the service life of silicone hoses is much longer than that of rubber hoses.
